Flip (Jedi level 36)From HoloMudAt first glance, flip might not make the cut in your standard combat rotation. However, flip serves a key roll in leveling and end game play for jedi. It essentially changes the combat order and puts you at the top. Typically in the round that you land a killing blow, a mob will get a chance to land its attacks first. By flipping, you are effectively removing the mob's attacks for one round (the last round in which you land the killing blow). This is particularly useful for leveling situations when killing many smaller mobs. The rounds of damage avoided add up quickly, reducing the need to regen! The flip skill is also used in group play as a way of rotating tanks. Whoever flips will become the new tank. This is a great technique for saving a dying ally or keeping a fight going. But beware! Becoming a the new tank can be dangerous. Some mobs might be too tough, or even worse, they might not attack the player tanking! Flip is different from most jedi skills in that it uses movement points instead of focus. While in combat, flip will always expend 5 movement points regardless of its success or failure. Flip is not affected by !force rooms. |
